Baby Wise Physiotherapy can help babies and young children to develop optimal movement skills. We also aim to provide support and education to parents and carers on how to help their baby or young child to develop muscle strength, balance skills and get in the daily recommended age-appropriate physical activities for good health.

How can physiotherapy help your child?

Baby Wise Physiotherapy works with parents and carers, the child and any other involved health professionals to develop a goal-based physiotherapy program for your child. We will use age appropriate, play activities and strengthening exercises to help your child to develop their movement skills.

Young children who can move well are more confident in active play with their friends and find it easier to keep up healthy daily physical activity levels.

FAQs

Is Baby Wise Physiotherapy NDIS Registered?

No, we are not registered with the NDIS, but we can see your child if you have chosen to be self-managed or plan-managed.

What do I need to have to prepare for my appointment?

If you have a referral, your child's blue book, medical test results or letters from other health professionals involved in your child's care, this will be very helpful for your physiotherapist at your child's first appointment.

How long will my child need physiotherapy services?

This is a very common question and is difficult to answer. It depends on many factors including the type and severity of problem and how dedicated you are to your child's home practice. Some children only need to attend the initial assessment and no ongoing physiotherapy is required. Some children will need to attend regularly for a few months and some children may need therapy indefinitely. Your physiotherapist will be able to provide you with an estimate of how long physiotherapy may be required at your child's first appointment.

What age children does Baby Wise Physiotherapy see?

Baby Wise Physiotherapy sees newborn babies and young children up to five years of age.
